Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

Do I need an NDIS plan to work with LadsCare?

Yes β€” to access our services through NDIS funding, you'll need an active NDIS plan in place. If you're not sure whether you're eligible or how to apply, we're happy to point you to the NDIS website or walk you through the eligibility process. Just give us a call and we'll have a chat.

How quickly can I get started?

We're a small team, which means we take our time to make sure every match is right. Once you reach out, we'll get in touch as soon as we can to have an initial chat. From there we'll organise a meet and greet and go from there. We'd rather do it properly than rush it β€” and most participants are up and running within a week.

Is there a minimum number of hours I need to commit to?

No β€” we're completely flexible. We work around what's in your plan and what works for your life. Whether you need a few hours a week or more regular support, we'll find a routine that suits you.

Can I choose my own support worker?

Absolutely β€” you have every right to be involved in choosing who supports you. We'll always do our best to match you with someone who's a genuine fit. If something isn't working, we'll have an honest conversation and sort it out together.

What happens at the meet and greet?

We'll organise a time and place that works for everyone β€” it could be at your home, a local cafΓ©, or wherever you're most comfortable. It's just a relaxed conversation to get to know each other and make sure it feels like a good fit before we commit to anything.

Can family members or carers be involved?

Yes, absolutely. Family members and carers are always welcome to be part of the process β€” from the initial chat through to ongoing support. We know how important that network is and we're happy to work with everyone involved.

Do you do group activities or only one-on-one support?

Right now we primarily provide one-on-one support, which means you get our full attention and a support experience that's built around you. Group activities are something we're working towards β€” watch this space.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No lock-in contracts. We believe the best support comes from people who want to be there β€” and that goes both ways. If things need to change, we'll have an open and honest conversation. We're here to work with you, not tie you down.

Still got a question? Just reach out β€” we're happy to chat.
